500 Follower Giveaway at Books, Products and More!

As I'm posting this notice of the 500 Follower Giveaway for my blog, Books, Products and More! I wondered why I didn't think to do this here too. Oh well, maybe soon.

While The Book Connection is dedicated solely to books, BPM is a family friendly site featuring books, movies, and products for families. Since the beginning of the year, I've been working to increase its readership. Part of that has included new features five days a week:

• You've Got Mail Mondays
• Tunes Tuesdays
• WSJ Wednesdays
• Taking Time for Mom Thursdays
• Free for All Fridays

In addition, if you check the upcoming events page, you'll see we'll have special books or products each month that will be highlighted. Most of the products reviewed right now come from my own purchases or free samples, but I am definitely looking for sponsors and advertisers.

The Book Connection's Top 10 Books of 2011 Coming Soon

I'm in the middle of reading my last book of 2011 right now. When I'm done, I'll have read 169 titles, which includes six short stories. This is slightly less than the 174 books I read among my three main blogs last year. I'm still satisfied with my tally. It was an overwhelming year filled with wicked weather, and I was busier with volunteering, business, and home life than I've ever been.

I'm looking forward to participating in reading challenges for 2012 at this blog. I'll also be running themed months over at Books, Products and More! January will be a month of product reviews; though I'm sure you'll find books there too. I can never wander far from my love of books. The Book Connection will continue to focus on the many titles in  my TBR pile, so I won't be taking on any new review requests until July. I can still offer a limited amount of guest post spots. Please read  my guest blogging policy before contacting me.

Mystery/Crime Fiction Month at Books, Products and More! in August!

Books, Products and More! is looking for mystery and crime fiction authors to feature during the month of August. Here is what we need:

• Synopsis of your latest book (Word.doc or .docx format or pasted into an email)
• Short excerpt (Word.doc or .docx format or pasted into an email)
• Cover art in jpg format
• Author photo in jpg format
• Author bio written in 3rd person (Word.doc or .docx format or pasted into an email)
• Links to where book can be purchased
• Links to author's website and/or blog
• Link to video trailer if available

Please email all this information to Cheryl at cg20pm00(at)gmail(dot)com by July 31st. Those are zeros in the email address, not Os. Available slots will be alloted first come, first serve. 

Books, Products and More! will be on vacation from July 1st - 10th, so you will not receive a response to your email until after that time.
