It's Monday! What Are You Reading? and Mailbox Monday - Sep 5

Welcome to It's Monday! What Are You Reading? and Mailbox Monday.

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week. It's a great post to organize yourself. It's an opportunity to visit and comment, and er... add to that ever growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye's Blog and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date

Happy Labor Day to my American friends. If you are curious about the history of Labor Day, check it out here.

After one week of school, the Lil' Princess has caught a cold. No shock with so many students on campus, but she told me she has the frat flu without the enjoyment of a frat party. LOL! Many of her friends went home for the long weekend, so she will enjoy some alone time and will hopefully feel better by Tuesday when classes resume.

After a week of meetings and appointments, I finished a small editing project and am halfway done with a larger one. I have a potential new acquisition to review and need to write a speech for this coming week.

In my reading world, I finished Big Red. My review will appear on September 23.

I am reading this seasonal title this week.

I started reading this business book for my September 28 review.

On September 27, look for my First Chapter Review of this middle grade fantasy novel at The Children's and Teens' Book Connection
In October, I will review this historical novel.

I also picked up a free copy of this newly released book and will do my best to get it reviewed this month.

Then I hope to read these.

Mailbox Monday is the gathering place for readers to share the books that came in their mailbox during the last week. Warning: Mailbox Monday can lead to envy, toppling TBR piles and humongous wish lists.

No physical books in my mailbox this week, but I pre-ordered this memoir by the late Alan Rickman that is coming out in October.

That's it from me. Hope you enjoy your week. I look forward to visiting your blogs today.

Interesting lot of books. Some of the covers remind me of Greg's pulp fiction covers that he loves.

I’m curious about Rickmans biography, I look forward to learning your thoughts about it.

Wishing you a great reading week

I hope your daughter feels better soon. I think the first Rickman film I ever saw was Truly, Madly, Deeply. At the time I loved it but wonder if it holds up all these years later. I'll have to see if I can stream it somehow. I'd give his biography a try!
Have a great week, Cheryl.

I hope your daughter is feeling better. My Heather ended up with fever on Friday and spent the weekend in bed. Not Covid and the only symptom was the fever.
The Rickman memoir sounds like it would be interesting. The business book also got my interest.
Have a good week and Happy Reading! Martha

Mary, I didn't know there was a film by that name. I will need to check it out. Hope you have a great week.

Thanks, Kathy. Since getting Covid, it seems she comes down with everything. Hope you have a great week.

Oh, Greg. Sorry to hear that. Our daughter's roommate got tested for Covid and step, but both came back negative. Hope your daughter stays healthy and that you have a nice week.

Thanks, Martha. Hope Heather is feeling better. Hope you have a nice week.
