It's Monday! What Are You Reading? and Mailbox Monday - June 6

Welcome to It's Monday! What Are You Reading? and Mailbox Monday.

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week. It's a great post to organize yourself. It's an opportunity to visit and comment, and er... add to that ever growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye's Blog and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date.

Welcome to the first Monday of June! Hard to believe how quickly the year is passing. Let's get right into what is happening.

We had a nice week, which was less hectic than the last few. I changed up the blog background. What do you think of it? I'm afraid it might be too busy.

The great team at Stony Hill Landscaping refreshed our front yard by removing mature bushes and replacing them and then adding new mulch. We are pleased with the results. This allowed me to simply add to my flower boxes to add more color instead of trying to figure out how to make our yard better. God did not give me garden design talent.

I spent time studying for my final North Carolina exam and took one of two required continuing education courses. Hope to be done with all this education this coming week.

In my reading world, I finally posted the review of this fabulous book here.

My review of this book is coming on Tuesday at The Children's and Teen's Book Connection.

My review of this one will be coming June 22 at my children's book blog.

My review of this book will appear at this blog on June 27.

I also signed up for book tours for the following two books. Look for reviews in August and September respectively.

I am reading these books now, but may have to break off to accommodate review books.

Maybe by the time vacation rolls around I will be able to tackle some of these:

Other books from my TBR pile I would love to read are:

Mailbox Monday is the gathering place for readers to share the books that came in their mailbox during the last week. Warning: Mailbox Monday can lead to envy, toppling TBR piles and humongous wish lists.

Though I had nothing new in my mailbox this week, I downloaded these as Kindle freebies on May 3 and forgot to share them with you. All of these are the first book of a series.

Hope you have a great week. I look forward to visiting your blogs to see what books you're talking about.

Your garden looks great. Your books all look good. I'll have to check out the Melissa Gilbert book. I read Damaged a few years back and enjoyed it. I have the second book but never got around to reading it.

I hope you enjoy your books and have a great week!

Your books look good, and I'm curious about Melissa Gilbert's book.

Enjoy your week.

Good Luck on your exam.

I like the side panels.

LOVED The Children's Blizzard...always enjoy when I learn something about history. I didn't know about this blizzard.

Have a wonderful week.

Thanks, Yvonne. Glad to know you liked Damaged. I really don't know why I bother with free books since I already have so many others I haven't read.

Thanks, Laurel. I read Melissa's first memoir. It was good, but the language wasn't my favorite.

Mary, thanks. Some porch time would be nice.

Thanks, Kathy. The update was long overdue.

Thanks. Elizabeth. I enjoy Benjamin's work, so I am sure I will like this book as well.

Thanks for visiting, everyone.

I do like the new garden look.
(The blog background is a bit distracting.)
Nice new books for you for review and free kindle.
I hope your CLE studying is going well. I am enjoying mine even if it is cutting into reading time.
Have a good week and Happy Reading!
