It's Monday! What Are You Reading? - Aug 31

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week. It's a great post to organize yourself. It's an opportunity to visit and comment, and er... add to that ever growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye's Blog and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date.

Well, it's here. The end of August and the first day of school. Who thought we would ever see the day our daughter returned to campus? I sure didn't think it would happen this year. They are testing everyone on campus twice a week and have made a tons of adjustments to keep everyone as safe as possible. Let's pray it works.

My schedule is getting hectic again. My calendar has little white space. In some ways, I feel good about it. In others, I've been happy hanging out mostly at home and not exposing myself to unnecessary cooties.

In my reading world, I reviewed the following:

My review of this one will appear on September 9.

I started this one yesterday. I'm not sure when my review will be posted yet.

I am also about to start this one.

My review for this next one will appear at An Imperfect Christian Mom on September 30.

The next few will appear at The Children's and Teens' Book Connection.

Then I will settle down to read something I want to read for the sake of reading it. Maybe one of these:

How many books did you read last week? Has your reading increased or decreased lately? What is a book you're looking forward to reading?

Strange times, may you be safe from those cooties!

Definitely strange, Kathryn. Hope you stay safe, too.

I read 5 books last week but I was hoping to make it 6.
It sounds like your daughters campus is taking Covid seriously which is a good thing.

Wishing you a great reading week, be well

The only one of your list I've read is the Harry Potter, but Collins I have and plan to read. Strange times indeed. Have a great week of reading

I'm reading a little less than I did a year ago but it is because I'm reading more audiobooks and I listen more slowly than I read. You have a great bunch of books here. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

I've enjoyed being home - I've never been very social. I need to read the Harry Potter screenplay and the Hunger Games prequel.

Sure is a crazy time. It seems like everyone is slowly going back but it's not the same just yet. Your books look really interesting. Have a great week!

Shelleyrae, five books is good for one week. I can't remember the last time I read that many. Yes, they are being as diligent as possible, which I am thankful for.

Beverly, I loaned the Collins one to my daughter, so not sure when I am reading that one. She stole the Harry Potter one, too. :)

Kathy, I miss audiobooks. When I drove more often, I would pop a disc into my truck. It had a six-disc player, so it was easy. That's how I read most of the Harry Potter series. Now, I only have a one-disc player.

Girl, I've definitely enjoyed being home more than is healthy for my business.

Yvonne, not really the same at all. My daughter has to wear a mask on campus even when she is outside. I hope by the end of the year things will be better.

Thanks to all of you for visiting today.
