This week's topic is so much fun. I grew up playing board and card games. Every Sunday, we attended church, had dinner, and then played games the rest of the day. My dad always cheated because he was a sore loser, but we still had fun.
Games that I played as a kid that I still play with my own children:
- UNO
- Monopoly
- Life
- Trouble
- Sorry
- Clue
- Go Fish
- War
- Gin Rummy

I sure enjoyed all the ones you listed. My husband isn't much of a games person. You'd think a computer nerd would be but I think programmers are not used to relying on other people's "rules" if that makes sense. Having to know what everyone else is doing, is different. Anyway, I like Words With Friends online now best. It's basically Scrabble, and I like playing my friends.
I love puzzles. They're great for people who have anxiety (like me) they give you something to focus on other than the inside of your head. Monopoly is also good but it can go on for too long. At least in my house. When I was growing up, if there was one thing you could guarantee in life, it's that the Monopoly board would get flipped before the game was done. 😂
I love everything you listed.
It's funny you say that, Jo, because my husband, who is in systems, isn't much of a board or card game player either. He likes Words with Friends and other online games. Thanks for visiting.
I agree, George. Monopoly and Life are never ending, which is why we don't play often. Thanks for visiting today.
Thanks, Lydia. Appreciate your visit.
War is the easiest, but it can go on FOREVER without a timelimit!
It often does, Stephen. The girls loved playing it with their Yia-Yia when she was alive. Thanks for visiting.
I like jigsaw puzzles, but don't think I could look at a picture of pooping puppies! Good luck with that one!
It is definitely a different one, Priscilla. Thanks for stopping by.
