Extra November Book Giveaway--Mishka by Adrienne Ehlert Bashista

Well, I was feeling like Scrooge for not offering a Christmas themed book in November, so I decided to give away another FREE book this month.

Mishka is a wonderful story of adoption told from a bear's perspective. You can read my review here. The illustrations in Mishka are just as beautiful as the story, and this book would make an excellent holiday gift for any adopted child.

For your chance to win:

You must comment here with your working email address so that we can contact you.

If you blog about this contest, leave a comment here, telling us where you are blogging about it for an additional entry!

Contest ends on November 30th. The winner will be announced at this blog on December 1st.

Good luck!

What a charming children's book. I love books that help our kids understand life better. I read them to my children when they were little and now to my grandson. Thank you for writing Mishka about adoption. A good friend of mine was adopted and still deals with the aftermath late in life. Stories like Mishka help children understand better and feel better about themselves.

That book sounds like it would be a really good one for my little granddaughter -Maya -who is five now. Maya is autistic but very high functioning, goes to a special preschool four days a week and is learning things hand over fist, very rapidly, even reading now too! Just amazes us how much she is doing. But she does love books already (hopefully she inherited my love of reading) and she enjoys just sitting and looking at books and pictures, being read to or trying to sound out what words she can as well! So, please -count me in on this contest!

Mishka looks like a wonderful story about adoption. My children would enjoy reading it and talking about adoption. One girl in our neighborhood babysits my children regularly and was adopted as a baby. She talks frankly about her experiences and shares stories of her own adoption with us.
