Discovery in Passion by Shiela Stewart--Book Review

Hot, spicy, and mysterious, Discovery in Passion is an entertaining page-turner.

Cassie Evans moves to the small town of Passion to start a new life away from her overprotective parents. She instantly falls in love with her new house, but strange and scary things keep happening. Luckily the guy next door is a gorgeous hunk of man who she can run to. But artist and handyman Thomas Healy thinks she's a bit nuts, no matter how beautiful and hot she is. There's no such thing as a haunted house. Besides, Tom makes a point of never sleeping with anyone he works for, and since Cassie has hired him to refurbish her new home that makes her off limits.

Everything changes when Tom makes the mistake of agreeing to paint Cassie. Not only is he falling in love with her, he's beginning to think her house really is haunted. One of Tom's cop friends begins investigating what might have happened at Cassie's house, making Cassie the target of a killer. Will they figure out who wants Cassie dead or will Tom lose the love of his life, forever?

Romance novels certainly have evolved over the years and Discovery in Passion is perfect proof of that evolution. A gripping storyline combined with complex and interesting characters makes this debut novel of the Passion series a great read. Moving along at a quick pace, the reader finds herself unable to put the book down until its satisfying conclusion. Stewart's storytelling and attention to detail draw the reader in from the very first word.

The cover art is absolutely stunning, though I'm not quite sure what it has to do with the book directly.
