It's Monday! What Are You Reading? and Mailbox Monday - Jul 7

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are, and about to be reading over the week. It's a great post to organize yourself. It's an opportunity to visit, comment, and add to that ever-growing TBR pile! So welcome, everyone. This meme started with J Kaye's Blog and was then taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date.

Welcome to July! Hope you enjoyed your weekend. We had a fun-filled first week on the Outer Banks. Here are some photos.

I haven't done as much reading as expected, but I finished this true crime novel and reviewed it on Thursday. Check it out here.

I also reviewed this one at The Children's and Teens' Book Connection. You can read it here.

I've read all of these before we left. My reviews should appear at TC&TBC soon.

I also finished this one. My review should appear at Laura's Little Houses soon.

I've been reading this historical account on my Kindle.

These are next.

Taking a Break from This Week's Meme's

Greetings from Wilmington, North Carolina! I planned to put together weekly posts before I flew out on Sunday, but...

  1. I ran out of time,
  2. My eyes are bugging out because I'm editing, and
  3. I really wanted to focus on seeing our daughter and getting the Airbnb ready for summer.
You can check out It's Monday! What Are You Reading?, Mailbox Monday, Top Ten Tuesday, and the Wednesday Weekly Blogging Challenge by clicking on the hyperlinks below each icon.

I will have some books from the library book sale to share with you next week. Might even have some photos from my visit to Wilmington. Enjoy your week!

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? - July 15

Welcome to It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week. It's a great post to organize yourself. It's an opportunity to visit and comment, and er... add to that ever growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye's Blog and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date.

Welcome back to Monday! We arrived home on Saturday to an overgrown garden and a blazing hot house. Good thing the cats had the basement, which is like an icebox year round.

Celebrated my latest birthday on Friday. Here's to life at 56! If you would like to see more pictures from our vacation, they are on my Facebook page.

Real estate consumed some of my time. I read less than planned, and still need to finish an editing project and finish reading that friend's manuscript.

Posted my review of this fabulous historical crime novel last week. You can read the review here

I am reading these two.

Next up are these. I am also beta reading a manuscript for a friend.

After these, maybe something from my huge TBR pile.

Upcoming events:
  • The Righteous Arrows by Brian J. Morra - July (Review)
  • Truth and Dare by Ann M. Trader - August 5 (First Chapter Review)
  • Affiliate Marketing for Beginners by Audrey K. Andado - August 12 (First Chapter Review)
  • Dishing Love Daily by Susanne Clark - August 14 (First Chapter Review)
  • Knowing by Mark Cox - August 22 (Review)
  • Death in St. George's by M. A. Monnin - August 23 (Review)
  • Hollywood Underworld by Lindy S. Hudis - August 30 (Review)

You can read the latest Christmas news at the Christmas Year Round blog. Check it out here.

I have a hectic first day back, so I might not visit your blogs until later. Hope you have a nice day!

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? and Mailbox Monday - July 10

Welcome to It's Monday! What Are You Reading? and Mailbox Monday.

Happy Monday, everyone! We are still on the Outer Banks. Here are a few of last week's photos.

One of my favorite things about vacation is getting real reading time. It's fun to catch up on great books. I also schedule blog posts ahead of time, which makes getting back to our regular schedule easier.

I finished this devotional for a review that will appear here on July 25. If you want to read the review early, you can find it on Goodreads.

I also finished this book. You can read my review here.

I reviewed this devotional here.

I am reading this novel now.

I am not sure if I will start listening to this one while we are away, but I might.

I need to start these two for August reviews.

Upcoming virtual book tours:
  • Becoming Flawesome by Kristina Mand-Lakhiani - July 11
  • Single Parents Rock! by Jaret Martino - July 19 (review TC&TBC)
  • The Unempty Spaces Between by Louis Efron - July 20 (review)
  • An Atomic Love Story: The Extraordinary Women in Robert Oppenheimer's Life by Shirley Streshinsky & Patricia Klaus - July 24

  • The Five Watches: An Accident of Time by John York - August 4
  • Exits by Stephen C. Pollock - August 7 (review)
  • Blood & Water by Linda Armstrong-Miller - August 9
  • Red Tail Feathers by Wendi Lou Lee - August 18 (review)

  • Ravage & Son by Jerome Charyn - August 21 (review)
  • Victoria James: And The Mysterious Case of the Chilly Willies by Elizabeth Burns (review TC&TBC)

Mailbox Monday is the gathering place for readers to share the books that came in their mailbox during the last week. Warning: Mailbox Monday can lead to envy, toppling TBR piles and humongous wish lists.

I've been selected to join Wendi Lou Lee's Launch Team for her new memoir, Red Tail Feathers. I preordered my copy at the end of last month. She also sent along a PDF version of the book so that reviews can be ready around its mid-August release date.

That's all from my neck of the woods. Not sure what today brings, but I will be sure to check out your blogs and the books you're reading.
