It's Monday! What Are You Reading? and Mailbox Monday - Dec 26

Welcome to It's Monday! What Are You Reading? and Mailbox Monday.

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week. It's a great post to organize yourself. It's an opportunity to visit and comment, and er... add to that ever growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye's Blog and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date.

Welcome to the last Monday of  2022! I hope those who celebrate Christmas enjoyed their holiday. Hannukah ends tonight, and I believe Kwanzaa starts today. I hope your holidays have been or will be filled with blessings.

Though it took me forever, the last Christmas tree got decorated Christmas Eve, all the presents got wrapped, and baking managed to get done. We visited the in-laws on Friday, so Christmas day it was just us, the three kids, and the Lil' Diva's boyfriend. What a special day.

Dwight thought he would help with the tree collar (still not sure I like this trend)

It was so cold this weekend that Theo hung out in one of his sweaters

With all there was to do, I didn't get much reading done.

You can find my review of this children's book at The Children's and Teens' Book Connection

I am still working on these these.

Then this one comes next.

Mailbox Monday is the gathering place for readers to share the books that came in their mailbox during the last week. Warning: Mailbox Monday can lead to envy, toppling TBR piles and humongous wish lists.

The family was good to me. I received several books.

Two books I had ordered from Christianbook.com during a huge sale arrived as well.

Did you receive any books over the holidays? If you did, which will you read first?

Happy Hanukah to all who celebrate it! I hope you have a blessed holiday. We were preparing for Christmas yesterday. The house is coming together. Today, I have to mail out Christmas cards. They will be late, but at least they will go out.

All the work holiday parties are done, and my year as president of the Realtor Association of Pioneer Valley is coming to a end on December 31 (unofficially). It will be official on January 12, with the passing of the gavel to the incoming president. They were kind enough to get me a few gifts. What should I buy with my Barnes & Noble gift card?

I didn't read anything this past week, because I am involved in our company's Adopt A Family program. This program provides gifts for families in need. This year, we will have helped bring Christmas to more than 60 families. I did, however, finish listening to this one.

I also started listening to this one. At least something good comes out of all that time in the car.

I didn't touch any of these at all.

After those few, I really need to read this book because its review is so overdue.

This book arrived earlier in the week. I forgot I had ordered a used copy.

I also found these Kindle freebies this week.

That's it for me. I hope everyone who celebrates it has a great Christmas!

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? and Mailbox Monday - Nov 21

Welcome to It's Monday! What Are You Reading? and Mailbox Monday.

Happy Monday, everyone! Are my US friends getting ready for Thanksgiving? Are any of your Christmas decorations up yet (if that is what you celebrate)? And, have you started your holiday shopping? Doesn't it seem this time of year that everything just rushes all the way through to the end of the year? I just sent out my Thanksgiving Day cards, but now it is time to order the holiday ones.

The Lil' Princess made it home a day later than expected because of her flight being canceled, but we are thrilled to have her with us through to next Sunday. The girls and I went to Salem this weekend. Can't believe I have never been when it is only an hour and 45 minutes away.

Reading has been almost non-existent lately, but I am one book shy of meeting my Goodreads goal of 40 books for the year, so I am feeling optimistic. I have been listening to this book on Audible. It is one of those books that everyone recommends, so I figured I would try Audible and listen to it on my drives back and forth. Not a real fan of the narrator, but it's a good book.

I finished this Sheila Roberts book on the plane. You can read my review here. Do we smell another Hallmark movie in this author's future?

I am reading this one as well.

I need to read these next.

I am reviewing this one in January.

Good thing I didn't buy any books in Salem, but I was tempted. Here are some Kindle freebies I picked up this week.

That's it for me. I will be out the door by 8:30 this morning, so I will be checking in with bloggers after that. Hope you have a great day!
