Welcome back to Wednesday! What a week it has been: back-to-back meetings, two accepted offers in three days, and showings. I will be catching up on visiting your blogs today. 

This week's Wednesday Weekly Blogging Challenge asks us to share audiobooks we have enjoyed. I tend to listen to business books, self-help, and professional development books on Audible. Chirp has books I listen to for fun. 

A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens is one of my favorite Christmas stories. Hugh Grant's voice makes it all the better. 

Many years ago, when a group of Dean Butler fans suggested he write a memoir, we had no idea he would actually write one. Prairie Man: My Little House Life & Beyond by Dean Butler is a wonderful read for any fan of the show. 

I had never read The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett until it turned into our first Modern Prairie book club read. What a wonderful story!

Be Useful: Seven Tools for Life by Arnold Schwarzenegger is filled with helpful advice. Such a great book!

Rob Dial, author of Level Up, allows his energy and charisma to shine through as he narrates his book.

Welcome to the last Monday of October! That month sure flew by. I hear some places even have snow! A bit too early for me. Most of our week was unseasonably warm, but on Sunday the temperature dropped more than 20 degrees and it rained. At least, that is what I expect at the end of October in New England.

I am still working on scenes for my NaNoWriMo project. With being sick and catching up on work, I didn't get as much done as I would have liked, but it is more than I usually do. 

Here is my reading world, I am reading this book for my November 21 review. I enjoy Sheila Roberts' books, but I have to say this one has a lot of characters to keep track of. 

I reviewed this beautiful book over at The Children's and Teens' Book Connection. You can read the review here. 

The First Chapter Review of this one is scheduled for October 31. 

This review is scheduled for November 20, but already appears at Goodreads if you're interested. 

I didn't make it to this one on Audible this week. 

Instead, I focused on listening to this one in the car.

Mailbox Monday is the gathering place for readers to share the books that came in their mailbox during the last week. Warning: Mailbox Monday can lead to envy, toppling TBR piles and humongous wish lists.

I found a great deal on eBay for this complete Love Comes Softly series by Janette Oke, so I grabbed it. They arrived at the end of the week. I'm excited to read them, even though I know they are very different from the movies. The second and third books of the series reference Little House on the Prairie in their book blurbs, reminding me that some of these came out in the late 70s and early 80s when the show aired on television. 

I also ordered this book for my Kindle to review in December. The author is touring with this book in November and December with Pump Up Your Book. 

I will be in and out today because of my work schedule, but I promise to check in at blogs when I'm around. Hope you have a blessed week.

Welcome to the last Monday of 2020. The next time we post this meme it will be in January 2021! Let's hope turning the calendar will help us turn the corner on this horrible pandemic. 

We had a nice Christmas with our children. I was blessed to receive some book gifts, which you can read about here. 

On the reading front, I didn't get much accomplished because the days leading up to Christmas were filled with work and holiday preparations. 

I am reading the latest by Charlotte Hubbard. This book will be released tomorrow.

Then I will work on reading these for book tours.

Then these ones are next.

I am in the middle of going through my 2021 TBR Pile spreadsheet. I don't have the time right now to go through all my stored books, but I did straighten out and rearrange the shelf in my office, which allowed me to put six books in the "donate to the library" pile. 

I am only participating in one blog reading challenge in 2021.

I love cozy mysteries and never seem to read the ones in my pile, so I am hoping this will help. I will probably keep a list on Goodreads as well.

Welcome to the first Monday of October. After a lovely weekend, today is supposed to be a mix of sun and clouds with high temperatures reaching 66 degrees. I plan to head out to the garden to start wrapping things up for the season. 

Reading continues to be a slow process. My mind is spinning lately with so much to accomplish, and I simply haven't felt like reading a lot.

Welcome to August. Hard to believe we are starting the last full month of summer. Our girls go back to school at the end of the month. Not quite to the fanfare of usual starts to the year, but virtual events to welcome the kids back and a hybrid of in-person and online learning.

As far as reading goes, I am reading these two. I am almost done with the first one.

These two will be reviewed this month.

I signed up to review this book in September.

I would like to read these to review at my children's book blog.

I am also keeping this on the list, because it's the one I want to read as soon as I am done with books for review.
