Welcome to It's Monday! What Are You Reading? and Mailbox Monday.
It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week. It's a great post to organize yourself. It's an opportunity to visit and comment, and er... add to that ever growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye's Blog and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date.
Happy Monday, everyone! Are my US friends getting ready for Thanksgiving? Are any of your Christmas decorations up yet (if that is what you celebrate)? And, have you started your holiday shopping? Doesn't it seem this time of year that everything just rushes all the way through to the end of the year? I just sent out my Thanksgiving Day cards, but now it is time to order the holiday ones.
The Lil' Princess made it home a day later than expected because of her flight being canceled, but we are thrilled to have her with us through to next Sunday. The girls and I went to Salem this weekend. Can't believe I have never been when it is only an hour and 45 minutes away.

Reading has been almost non-existent lately, but I am one book shy of meeting my Goodreads goal of 40 books for the year, so I am feeling optimistic. I have been listening to this book on Audible. It is one of those books that everyone recommends, so I figured I would try Audible and listen to it on my drives back and forth. Not a real fan of the narrator, but it's a good book.
I finished this Sheila Roberts book on the plane. You can read my review here. Do we smell another Hallmark movie in this author's future?
Mailbox Monday is the gathering place for readers to share the books that came in their mailbox during the last week. Warning: Mailbox Monday can lead to envy, toppling TBR piles and humongous wish lists.
Good thing I didn't buy any books in Salem, but I was tempted. Here are some Kindle freebies I picked up this week.
That's it for me. I will be out the door by 8:30 this morning, so I will be checking in with bloggers after that. Hope you have a great day!

Salem looks so different to how I had imagined from the history I've read! Obviously it's updated, but I didn't even know it was on the water.
We spotted our first Christmas decorated house in Rugby town yesterday. Lights flashing all over the windows and pirch, while the neighbours still had disintegrating pumpkins in the front garden.

I visited Salem over 20 years ago but I remember enjoying it.
I'm a big fan of Mimi Matthews' books. Hope you enjoy this one and have a lovely week.
I'd love to visit Salem someday. It looks so pretty in your photos! I'm ready for Thanksgiving, and I started Christmas shopping, but I have so much more to buy. I hope you have a great week!
I've never been to Salem but I'd love to visit. Those photos are great. The year sure is flying by. I can't believe Thanksgiving is just a few days away.
Hope you have a great week!
Great photos and yummy dishes! Thanks for sharing, and enjoy your week.
Sounds like a nice trip. Glad your daughter could make it home. I've been reading lots and lots. I'll likely be raising my Goodreads goal again for the third time this year. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
I love your Salem photos. That's definitely someplace I would love to visit. I got started on my Christmas shopping last week, but I'm holding off on decorating until this weekend. Have a fantastic Thanksgiving!
You've got quite a stack of books ahead of you - hope you enjoy them all. Have a terrific Thanksgiving. I've been steadily reading along....you'll get back to it when time and interest make room. Till, then keep gathering those books!! :)

I bought Thanksgiving cards before Halloween and promptly forgot about them. I mailed them out yesterday (Monday). So they have 2-3 days to get across the country. I don't think they'll make it in time. Oh well. It's the thought that counts, right?
I was in the mood for some Christmas shopping this morning so I bought a few decorations and some wrapping paper. I've got a small start on gift shopping but, knowing myself, that's the kiss of death. I'll feel a false sense of security about how much I've accomplished and realize the week before Christmas that I haven't done even half of what I need to! :-)
Salem looks lovely!
Happy Thanksgiving!
Yes, this time of year seems to run busy.
Sounds like a nice outing for "the girls".
I have three of your four free kindle books on my TBR. The Gaslight is so tempting.
I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving. And Happy Reading!
Booker's book sounds good, and congratulations on almost reaching your yearly goal!
Thanks for visiting and commenting last week, everyone. I didn't mean to be so late in checking out your blogs. Something came up at work that demanded attention. Hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving.
Salem is lovely. I think we will go back in the spring once the Lil' Princess is done at UNCW for the year. She is already making plans to move into an apartment for Fall 2023. I am not sure I am ready for that.
Stephanie, I don't think I realized Salem was on the water either. :)
Mary, this will be the first book by Mimi Matthews that I read. So glad to hear you recommend her.
Aj, hope you got more shopping done.
Yvonne, I can't believe the year is almost over.
Laurel, great to see you here this week.
Kathy, hope you are able to raise your reading goal for next year.
Diana, we waited to decorate this year, too.
Terrie, I definitely have become a collector of books lately.
Jen, it is definitely the thought that counts.
Unknown, hope you enjoy the kindle books.
Emma, thanks so much. I probably set the goal too low this year, but I knew it would be a hectic one.
Thanks to all of you for stopping by.
