Wednesday Weekly Blogging Challenge: TV Shows I've Bing-Watched

The Wednesday Weekly Blogging Challenge is hosted by Long and Short Reviews. They offer this blog hop as a weekly prompt to help you gain new friends and visitors. You don't have to participate every week, but if you decide to post and join the blog hop for a week, Long and Short Reviews asks that you share your link on their weekly post on their website (it will be the top post on the home page each Wednesday morning). The link list remains open for new links for 48 hours. Visit the other bloggers participating to see what they discuss that week. Comments are appreciated.

Welcome back to Wednesday. I am probably out on appointments, but I will check in with you all later.

This week's topic is such a fun one. Honestly, I'm not much of a television watcher. I am more like catch a reel of a show on Facebook kind of person. So many shows I enjoyed got cancelled that it really turned me off from watching. Besides, I don't need more screen time.

That said, there are shows I've binge-watched in the past:

Anne with a E

This is a Netflix version of Anne of Green Gables. I wrote several blog posts after watching it in 2021, and I've written three fanfiction stories based on the series. Didn't even know the show existed until two years after it was off the air, but I watched all three seasons one after the other. Dissappointing that it was cancelled right when Gilbert and Anne got together. Bit of trivia: Executive Producer Miranda de Pencier played the character of Josie Pye in the 1985 Anne of Green Gables mini-series starring Megan Follows.

Downton Abbey

Though I can't recall exactly when I started watching Downton Abbey, I believe it was the series two finale where Mary accepts Matthew's proposal. I followed the show religiously, then binge-watched it before the first movie came out. I'm excited for the final movie coming in September.

Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated

Proving that Scobby-Doo mysteries have been a source of entertainment to me for decades, when I discovered Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated on Netflix, I watched both 26-episode seasons in a row. Not quite sure why the Scooby-Doo gang had to be dating each other or why their parents had to play such integral roles, but it was still fun to watch.

Holiday Home Makeover with Mr. Christmas

This is a show that unbelievably only had four episodes. Mr. Christmas, a veteran of interior design, makes over homes for the holidays. As someone who loves Christmas, this was my kind of show. My nephew acted as a supervising producer on this holiday reality show.

Fuller House

A fan of Full House, I didn't want to miss this long overdue spinoff. Loved seeing so many of the original characters. Since I rarely catch anything while it's actually airing, I caught this one toward the end of its run, binged it, and then watched it until the end.

I watched Downton Abbey as it aired but have since binged it all again. I love that and the prequel series set in New York City "The Gilded Age".

I hate the way shows aren't given a chance to find a following before they're cancelled these days. I do want to watch Downton Abbey though, one of these days!

Here is my post.
