Top ten Tuesday: Top Ten Books with Honorifics in the Title

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

It is Tuesday again. Mine is going to be filled with meetings and appointments, but if you comment, I will visit you. This week's Top Ten Tuesday is all about honorifics (“…an honorific is a form of address conveying esteem, courtesy or respect. These can be titles prefixing a person’s name, e.g.: Mr., Mrs., Miss, Ms., Mx., Sir, Dame, Dr., Cllr, Lady, or Lord, or other titles or positions that can appear as a form of address without the person’s name, as in Mr. President, General, Captain, Father, Doctor, or Earl.”) Not sure how many of these I will get, but let's see how it goes.

Top Ten Books with Honorifics in the Title

Madame Presidentess by Nicole Evelina. You can read my First Chapter Review here.

What the Bishop Saw by Vannetta Chapman. You can read my review here

Gods and Generals by Jeff Shaara. This one made a TTT for one of the top ten books I read before I was a blogger. You can see that list here

Once We Were Kings by Ian Alexander. Read my review here.

The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas. Love me a good revenge story.

For the King by Catherine Delors. You can read my review here

Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman by Teresa Warfield. This novel is based on the television series.

The Autobiography of Mrs. Tom Thumb: A Novel by Melanie Benjamin. This was the first novel by Benjamin that I read. You can see my review here

I featured The Spinster, the Rebel, and the Governor by Charlene Bell Dietz in 2024. You can read an excerpt here

Hooray, It's Three Kings Day! by Annette M. Clayton. You can read my review here.

Enjoy browsing these books with honorifics in the title.

I focused on books that I loved, so I was unable to find some titles among those, including general and bishop!

It was my suggestion for the topic this week and I'm loving all these choices! I used to enjoy watching Dr Quinn Medicine Woman.
