COVER: I have to admit that despite liking more colorful covers, this one killed it. The dark, hooded figure, the bolded title font, the futuristic vibe of the font for the author's name, and the background artwork all sync nicely to create the right feel for this genre.
FIRST CHAPTER: The chapter opens with Aaron Williams in his dark room with his 3-D printer, creating his weapon of choice to carry out his plan. It swiftly moves to an early morning in Washington, D.C., where two friends have spent the night drinking at the Astro Lounge, unaware of how the night will end.
KEEP READING: Let me just say that I'm not a technology person, so sometimes technical details are lost on me. With Bazaar, I was so engaged with the story that it didn't matter. Joyner drops the reader right into Aaron's world first, then quickly shifts them to a night that involves other characters. We do not meet Karen or Yemi in the first chapter, which displays the author's talent in staying focused and moving his reader through the story with just the right amount of detail, intrigue, and suspense to make them crave turning the next page. The antics of Aaron's friend Danny help to lighten a serious storyline. It's possible you won't want this book to end.
