It's Monday! What Are You Reading? & Mailbox Monday - April 21

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are, and about to be reading over the week. It's a great post to organize yourself. It's an opportunity to visit and comment, and er... add to that ever-growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye's Blog and was then taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date.

Happy Easter Monday! Hope you had a nice weekend. With barely any time to breathe last week, I didn't do much other than work and prepare to host Easter brunch. We had a lovely day, despite it being the fifth anniversary of my father-in-law's death.

Halloween at the Soldier's Home

Here are some photos from last week.

Anyone know what might have happened to this tree?

In my reading world, I reviewed this book. You can find it here.

Read a bit of this one. Running out of time to finish it.

Didn't touch this one this week.

These are next.

Mailbox Monday is a gathering place for readers to share the books they added to their shelves the previous week. This weekly meme is now hosted by Vicki at I'd Rather Be At The Beach

Grabbed this at the local gift shop by a local author sharing historical tales about the town where we live.

Working on my next post for Laura's Little Houses, I posted my review of Nonfiction, Memoir, or Fiction?: Dissecting the Works of Laura Ingalls Wilder by Robynne Elizabeth Miller. You can read it here. If I ever get the time, I know what my next post will be.

That's it for me today. I have lunch with a client, so likely will be back to your blogs later today.

I love the idea of a skillet pizza. I should look into that.

While We're Young has a great cover!

The pizza looks delicious! I love the pic of your FIL. So sweet. I'm considering doing a Christmas in July this year. I have so many books on my kindle that would work. Have a good week, Cheryl. My mailbox was empty last week.

My favorite food from when I was very young until a few years ago was pizza. A few years ago I started not liking it at all. So now when everyone wants pizza, I either order a salad or Taco Bell.

Thanks for joining Mailbox Monday!

A busy time, hope you had time for some relaxing breaths over Easter. The tree looks very sad, but not idea what is wrong with it!

I hope things get a bit easier, as far as finding reading time. I won't wish your work would slow down, because you might love being that busy ;)

It was amazing, Deb. I had it with salsa and sour cream. Yum! Thanks for visiting.

It was yummy, Mary. That is one of my favorite photos of him. Christmas in July sounds like so much fun. Let me know if you decide to do it. Thanks for visiting.

Thanks, Yvonne. I've been lucky that most of the recipes I find turn out great. Thanks for visiting.

It was, Kathy. I am beat. Heading over to your blog. Thanks for visiting.

I enjoy a good pizza, Vicki, but the crust isn't always my friend. A salad or TB sounds like a great alternative. Thanks for visiting.

Definitely busy, Kathryn, but enjoyed a few moments to catch my breath. The poor tree. Have a couple like that. Thanks for visiting.

My condolences on the passing of your father-in-law. I’m guessing he liked french fries :-)The time is past the pain probably still remains. Hugs to you and yours.
It looks like insects might’ve gotten to that tree?
It also looks like there’s a wedding coming up? Fun!
I’ve never heard of skillet taco pizza! I’ll have to share with that with my husband! It looks like you are on a Little House on the Prairie reading binge. I remember enjoying that show so much! Happy reading to you!
