Book Review: Mastering Your Scenes by J.A. Cox

Looking for tips on crafting scenes, then check out Mastering Your Scenes: Your Blueprint for Success by J. A. Cox.

In this helpful and engaging resource, Cox discusses the elements of a scene from sketching to objective and beyond. Breaking down each element in detail, the author shares the whens, the whys, the hows, and their practical application, providing you the tools to craft scenes.

Mastering Your Scenes is a helpful resource for writers. In less than a 100 pages, the author guides you along. Its brevity is what attracted me to it. I've bought other writing craft books that explore too much territory and go unread. That Cox focused on this aspect and delivers a succinct product makes it a resource to keep handy to refer back to later with ease. An additional edit and run through with a book designer to fix typographical, grammar, and formatting issues would perfect the overall product.

If you seek insight into understanding scene creation and their objectives, Mastering Your Scenes can help.
