It's Monday! What Are You Reading? and Mailbox Monday - Dec 25

Welcome to It's Monday! What Are You Reading? and Mailbox Monday.

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week. It's a great post to organize yourself. It's an opportunity to visit and comment, and er... add to that ever growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye's Blog and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date.

Merry Christmas, everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful day. And for those who have experienced a loss, please know my thoughts and prayers are with you.

I'm writing this late at night because we hosted festivities today. I'll see whose blogs I can check out now that the dishes are washed, the gifts tucked away, and Theo is napping on his bed. It was a long, lovely day.

On our way to visit my brother-in-law and sister-in-law for Christmas Eve dinner, I read some of this one. My review will be online for January 17th.

I also read a bit of this one last week.

Upcoming virtual book tours:
  • A Yellow House in the Mountains by Glenn Hileman - January 17 (review)
  • Civil Twilight by Anique Taylor - January 23 (guest post)
  • The Location Shoot by Patricia Leavy - January 31 (interview)

Mailbox Monday is the gathering place for readers to share the books that came in their mailbox during the last week. Warning: Mailbox Monday can lead to envy, toppling TBR piles and humongous wish lists.

I'll share the new books I received for Christmas during Top Ten Tuesday tomorrow, but this one arrived before the weekend thanks to last week's Top Ten Tuesday where we shared our book wish list.

Thanks to the fellow blogger who fulfilled my wish.

Off to check out your blogs for the day. Hope you enjoy the rest of your week and have some down time.

Christmas can be such a wonderful time but tiring, I felt exhausted at the end of the day and I was not a chief cook or anything like it. How lovely to get a book wish answered. Enjoy the rest of the Christmas season.
