Book Review: Scene of the Crime by Jennifer Chase

Contaminated crime scenes, twists and turns, and a dash of romance are the recipe for an engaging crime story. Forensic expert Chip Palmer and DA Inspector Kate Rawlins join forces again to assemble the clues and capture a killer, which makes them prime targets.

Scene of the Crime by Jennifer Chase is a complex story with numerous twists and turns. Told from multiple points of view, there is a fair amount of backstory, which slowed the pace a bit more than I prefer in a murder mystery. The plot, however, was great. The romantic tension between Chip and Kate was well done. With a bit more editing and some elimination of the backstory, this will be a superb read. I would be curious to read other titles by the author to compare them.
