Book Review: The Life and Death of Whitney Houston by Kim Hudson

With the death of Whitney Houston so recent, it's not surprising several e-books have popped up this month about the iconic singer. The Life and Death of Whitney Houston by Kim Hudson offers a glimpse into Houston's life and the days leading up to her death. The book includes photographs and several clickable links to sources.

Broken down into sections, this short e-book brings you through her childhood years, her modeling, her years in music and film, and her troubled personal life. It ends with a recap on recent news. Also included are public statements and quotes, and some Houston trivia.

In the end, readers learn very little if anything new about Houston's life. The content is compiled from online sources and reads like a school book report. If I hadn't gotten it for free, I wouldn't be happy.

Wow, that is fast for a book about Whitney to come out. I wonder if the author had started working on the life part of Whitney Houston before she died or if it was all put together, just since her death? Thanks for sharing your review of the book.

According to some news reports I saw about a week ago, quite a few Houston-related books have been rushed into print.

I doubt I would be happy with this book either because I would be looking for something written by somebody who knew her rather than somebody who compiled online informaton from sources we can all Google.
