Book Review: Tell Me About That Horse by Vaughn Wilson
In this beautiful book, compiled, illustrated, and photographed by portrait photographer and artist Vaughn Wilson, the author has created a book horse enthusiasts and equestrians will want to call their own.
Wilson interviewed numerous people to share their stories of their favorite horses. From seven time All-Around Cowboy Champion Trevor Brazile to music legend Charlie Daniels, from syndicated radio icon Bob Kingsley to "Cutting's First Lady" Lindy Burch, and from trick horse trainer Allen Pogue to Hall of Fame rodeo clown Lecille Harris, and more, Tell Me About That Horse shares numerous touching and memorable stories of why one horse stands out from the rest.
This book will take you from Texas to Kansas, from Nevada to California, from Tennessee to Oklahoma, and even into Australia to give you an inside peek into the loving relationship between man or woman and beast.
Tell Me About That Horse by Vaughn Wilson would make the perfect gift for anyone who loves horses, but even though I've never had the desire to ride much, I found so much to enjoy in this book. These stories will touch your heart. They will let you experience what it is like when a truly meaningful relationship exists between two of God's creatures.
I highly recommend this book. I hope Wilson is hard at work on another book for us to enjoy soon!

This looks like an amazing book! I can't wait to read the stories and see the beautiful photography. Knowing Vaughn...it will have a lot of heart.
Thanks for dropping by. This is a beautiful book.
Cheryl, thank you for your review of "Tell Me About That Horse". It was truly a wonderful experience writing the book. I got to travel all over the country meeting, interviewing, photographing and becoming friends with some very interesting people who shared their stories about a "special" horse in their lives. They call this work??? I can't wait to get back out on the road and get started on volume 2.
Again, thank you for your review.
Vaughn
I saw this book at Allen Pogue's www.imagineahorse.com ranch when I visited. I don't always think of myself as much of a coffee table book person but the graphics are a feast for the eyes and the personal heart warming stories of each legend interviewed made this a "must have". My guests enjoy it on display but it is often also in my room where I am reading the personal stories and enjoying each moment. Thank you for such a fabulous piece of art. Calling it a "book" doesn't do it justice.
Oooooh this looks wonderful! I don't suppose there will ever be a paperback version for us poor folk? Hmmm... sounds like Christmas Wish List material to me (I'm definitely adding it to mine :o)
