Welcome to Tuesday! Did any of you catch the eclipse? I was working when it came through Massachusetts. Boston was said to have the best view of it, and we are not anywhere close to that. 

Today is a Top Ten Tuesday freebie, so I figured I would talk about books I haven't read for a change. I've never been a big reader of classics. I didn't enjoy 1984, The Great Gatsby, All Quiet on the Western Front, Ivanhoe, Ulysses, or Lord of the Flies. Maybe I was too young in school to appreciate them, but I don't plan to go back to them either.

Happy Tuesday! Welcome back. For this week's Top Ten Tuesday on the topic of opening lines, I traveled back to books I read long ago or ones I think my younger self would enjoy.

Top Ten Memorable Opening Lines

In anticipation of Harper Lee's Go Set a Watchman, I decided to borrow an audiobook of To Kill a Mockingbird. Between the dialect of the reader making it hard to understand and the fact that barely anything happens for six tracks, I'm a bit disappointed. Scout is in school and has just gotten her hands whacked with the ruler for trying to explain about Walter Cunningham. Dill seems to be a fun character, but again, I am waiting for some action to start. Is it because I'm not reading the printed version? Help me understand.

Top Ten Classics I Want To Read

I have to admit I'm not good about reading the classics. I keep hoping one year I'll catch up on my TBR pile to make room for different reading. It hasn't happened yet, but even if I could work two in each year I would feel like I've accomplished something.
