It's Monday! What Are You Reading? and Mailbox Monday - Jan 12

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are, and about to be reading over the week. It's a great post to organize yourself. It's an opportunity to visit, comment, and add to that ever-growing TBR pile! So welcome, everyone. This meme started with J Kaye's Blog and was then taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date.

Happy Monday! Hope you all had a fabulous week. I spent my week easing into work and taking time to visit with my sisters. Here are photos from our trip.

I finished two books last week: Next Is Now by Leigh Brown, and The Case for Old MacDonald and His Farm. Check out my review of Leigh's book here. The link to the picture book appears further down in this post.

I did not read I Heard the Bells last week, but I will indulge myself tonight.

I didn't read Hooked by Cailtin Rother last week, but it will be my focus this week.

Mailbox Monday is a gathering place for readers to share the books they added to their shelves the previous week. This weekly meme is now hosted by Vicki at I'd Rather Be At The Beach

I gave my physical and virtual mailboxes a break this week.

You know, I think I'm actually more concerned about a person who throws an axe badly than one who throws with precision. Sounds like you had a great time with your sisters. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

Maybe that's the smarter way to look at it, Kathy. :) Thanks for stopping by.

Isn't it adorable? I haven't eaten at Johnny Rockets before, so it was a new adventure. Thanks for visiting today, Yvonne.

Your trip looks like so much fun! Good to know you won’t be axe murdering anyone soon :)

Wishing you a wonderful reading week

A score of zero sounds about right for me, too! I'm not sure about Christmas all year round, but I guess if it involves only reading and not cleaning, shopping, wrapping, decorating, etc. it could be restful!

Some of my friends like to go ax throwing. My score would probably (if it's possible) be lower than yours. lol!

We did, Miaismine. Isn't that cat cute? Hope you enjoy your week. Appreciate the vist.

No axes for me, Shelleyrae. Hope you have a great week. Thanks for stopping by.

Ax throwing was so much harder than I thought it would be, Laurie. Sheila Roberts had a book about a group of women who decided to celebrate Christmas all year long. It was such a sweet book. Thanks for visiting.

I'm not sure I would do it more than once a year, but it was a different adventure. Thanks for visiting, Deb.

Sister time is fun! Last week 4 of my sisters and I flew to Denver to celebrate our youngest sister's birthday. Spent a few days in the mountains - a wonderful time. Everyone is scattered around the country so these meet ups don't happen often. Have a great week, Cheryl.
