Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Authors (or books by authors) Who Live/d In My State of Massachusetts

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

Happy Tuesday, everyone. Hope you're having a nice week. We are expecting wet weather all week, which means I don't need to water the garden. One less thing to do. You need to count those blessings, however they come.

Today, we are talking about authors (or books by authors) who live in our state or country. I'm sticking with my state to see how many I can knock off. Some actually live in my town or in the Pioneer Valley.

Lives in town

Lived in Springfield.
Our town was known as the northern part of Springfield before it was incorporated into its own town.

I don't know who you're talking about as your images don't have any alt text and I'm a screen reader user. So this post is 95% inaccessible to me.

but when I think of Massachussets authors, Tess Gerritsen comes to mind immediately as most of her books are set in Boston.

We have a wonderful Dr. Seuss museum, and Bright Nights--which is our holiday light show--has several Seuss displays. I sold house on the street he used to live on. Thanks for the visit, Lydia.

I've kept my kid's Dr. Seuss books, Emily. Love reading them from time to time. Thanks for stopping by.

I will keep that in mind in the future, Laurie. Thanks for letting me know. I haven't heard of Tess. Will need to look her up. Appreciate the visit.

That's cool that some of them live near you! I also love that Dr. Seuss was included :)

Steven Manchester is one of my all time favorites. He's such an amazing author.

I was thinking I hadn't read any until the very end when you added Louisa May Alcott and Dr Seuss.

I'm crazy about Dr. Seuss, David McCullough, Doris Kearns Goodwin, and Louisa May Alcott! How fortunate you are to live in a state with so many fabulous authors.

Louisa May Alcott and Dr. Seuss? Fantastic! I've been meaning to read McCullough for forever, but I still haven't. One of these days, hopefully.

Happy TTT!

You've got quite a selection there in your state. Of course, I've read Dr. Seuss and Little Women. What a spread.

This is my list of German authors:
