Book Review: Better Sleep: Beating Insomnia in Three Simple Steps by Tony Bakkejord M.D.

If you're looking for strategies on how to improve your sleeping habits, Better Sleep: Beating Insomnia in Three Simple Steps by Tony Bakkejord M.D. could be worth checking out.

Bakkejord is a Norwegian psychiatrist who has written this easy to understand booklet about how to overcome insomnia using three simple steps. He, with the assistance of researcher, Ole Åsli, PhD, share the three steps, along with helpful information so you understand why we sleep, what keeps you awake, and tips on what to do or not do. Also included is a discussion on alternative treatments. Links to other resources also follow.

Better Sleep is a short booklet that might help you on your journey to improving your sleep. Like any change, the author admits it won't happen without discipline. As someone who has struggled with sleep, I'm always open to helpful ideas. What I like about this book is that it focuses on the three simple steps, which when repeated over time, can make a difference. It doesn't get bogged down in medical jargon, though there is a bit.

Check out Better Sleep: Beating Insomnia in Three Simple Steps to see if it's right for you.

This sounds like it might be helpful. I have recently discovered that I can no longer drink coffee in the afternoon and get to sleep soundly when I should. I need to drink more water instead. Thanks for sharing this.
