Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Non-Bookish Hobbies

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

Well, this should be interesting. Most of my hobbies center around books and reading, but this week's topic is Top Ten Non-Bookish Hobbies. Let's face it, I am a boring person.

  1. Gardening - Though I have the brownest thumb of anyone I know, I love gardening. I'm not opposed to hard work, so that doesn't bug me. I simply don't have enough time to truly research how to create a wonderful garden and to learn how to improve our soil.
  2. Cross-stitching - Before life became one crazy whirlwind, I used to enjoy sitting down to cross-stitch at night. It has been years since I picked it up. I plan to go back to it one day.
  3. Organizing - Maybe this is a cheat, but I love organizing things for myself and for others. It's something that comes naturally to me.
  4. Cooking/Baking - I love, love, love to cook and bake. That's been one of the only good things about this pandemic: I get to spend more time in my kitchen.
  5. Volunteering - I enjoy volunteering my time and talents to organizations in need. It used to be our church, but now it is Rick's Place and Christina's House

I really think that's it. What are some of your non-bookish hobbies? Do we share any of the same ones?

Cross-stitching is such a cool hobby. It's been mentioned a lot this week, too.

My post.

Cross-stitch looks like so much fun! I really need to try it someday. And it's hard not to love cooking and baking—especially with everything going on right now. There's a lot of comfort in maneuvering around the kitchen.
