Book Review: Come to Me: A Devotional for Healing from Hurt by Amy W. Vogel

If you are struggling with the pain of being hurt by people or life situations, Come to Me: A Devotional for Healing from Hurt by Amy W. Vogel may bring you the hope you seek.

In this 30-day devotional, Vogel focuses on various translations of Matthew 11:28-30 to inspire readers and encourage them to see themselves as Jesus sees them and help readers process their feelings in a safe space. With an in-depth evaluation of the meaning of and impact of these moving verses, Vogel sets you on the path to healing.

Each day focuses on a portion of Matthew 11:28-30 or a different translation that offers insight into how this verse applied to the author's situation and could apply to yours. That is followed by a prayer and then a healing action step for the reader.

Come to Me truly spoke to me on a day that had been filled with hurt. Vogel's insights allowed me to think of my situation differently, which brought about a greater sense of peace. Perhaps the most significant for me at the time came on Day 29 with the words I see you. Sometimes, knowing you are seen can be half the battle.

I highly recommend this 30-day devotional and hope it blesses you in the same way it did me.
