The Wednesday Weekly Blogging Challenge is hosted by Long and Short Reviews. They offer this blog hop as a weekly prompt to help you gain new friends and visitors. You don't have to participate every week, but if you decide to post and join the blog hop for a week, Long and Short Reviews asks that you share your link on their weekly post on their website (it will be the top post on the home page each Wednesday morning). The link list remains open for new links for 48 hours. Visit the other bloggers participating to see what they discuss that week. Comments are appreciated.
Last week's Wednesday Weekly Blogging Challenge asked us to share our favorite song lyrics. This week, it is time to share the song lyrics that make us cringe. While the Internet and I seem to have differing opinions on what makes lyrics cringy, we will see what I come up with.
Cringy stalker vibes: because nothing says true love like being hunted down and collected.
I will have you, yes, I will have youI will find a way,and I will have youLike a butterfly,a wild butterflyI will collect you and capture you
And they whirl and they twirl and they tangoSingin' and jinglin' a jangoFloatin' like the heavens aboveLooks like muskrat love
I'm holding onWhy is everything so heavyHolding onJust so much more than I can carryI keep dragging around what's bringing me downIf I just let goI'd be set freeHolding onWhy is everything so heavy
Yesterday was Thursday, ThursdayToday i-is Friday, Friday (Partyin')We-we-we so excitedWe so excitedWe gonna have a ball todayTomorrow is SaturdayAnd Sunday comes afterwardsI don't want this weekend to end

Friday is a good pick! I had it stuck in my head for a day or two earlier this month. Ha.
I think I listened to it once or twice, but man it hurts the ears.
Ah, Cheryl, Heavy was an important song for me, too. And goodness me, Friday sounds like it was written in primary school. Unfortunately, as Lydia alluded to, it's quite the earworm.
Heavy must have connected with so many people, George. I wish Bennington's life had been different for him.
The only one I recognize is "Muskrat Love" by Captain & Tennille 😄!
I am surprised the stalker lyrics ever saw the light of day.
Mid-80s had some wild lyrics, Rebecca.
