Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Books I Hope Santa Brings/Bookish Wishes

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

It is Christmas Eve! What better time to share the books I hope Santa brings me or my bookish wishes. Honestly, I don't need to add to my mountainous book pile, but there are some seasonal books I would love to have and some wishes that would be fun to see come true. Do we share any of the same wants?

Wish #1: Independent bookstores of the USA tour

Wouldn't it be neat to visit a variety of independent bookstores around the country? This would be almost more fun than traveling around the country to visit Christmas stores.

Wish #2: Home library or reading room

This is a wish I've had for a long time. I do most of my reading in my office, in the car, or in the tub. I truly want to turn our formal living room--which we have never used as a formal living room--into a home library or a cozy reading room.

Wish #3: Attend a reading retreat

How cool would it be to set aside a weekend and enjoy reading books alongside other readers and Mother Nature? I'm up for it. Have you ever attended one? If you have, please feel free to share your experience.

Planning to spend time with family the rest of the week. Not sure how much I will be online. Hope you enjoy your holidays!

A tour of independent bookstores would be the best trip ever. I'd have no money by the end of it. :)

Doesn't it sound amazing, Deb? I had heard of a writing retreat, but just found about a reading retreat. Thanks for visiting.

I will need to find your review, Cindy. We could always create a reading retreat together if we lived close enough. Thanks for visiting.
