It's Monday! What Are You Reading? and Mailbox Monday - May 13

Welcome to It's Monday! What Are You Reading? and Mailbox Monday.

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week. It's a great post to organize yourself. It's an opportunity to visit and comment, and er... add to that ever growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye's Blog and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date.

Welcome back! Posting this early since my Monday morning will be a bit crazy. Hope all you mothers, stepmothers, grandmothers, godmothers, and motherly figures had a nice Mother's Day. Thinking of all of you readers who, like me, are missing their moms. Holidays such as these can bring mixed feelings.

The kids and my husband took me out to lunch at an Italian restaurant in a neighboring town and then for an ice cream treat at a nearby farm. Then they lavished me with flowers, a new tea mug, and vegetable and herb plants for the garden. These deck planters should make it easier for me to maintain the garden... if the critters don't grab them first.

On Saturday, we celebrated my husband's birthday late, since he was flying out to North Carolina on his birthday to drive the Lil' Princess home for the summer. This small batch vanilla buttercream frosting was perfect.

Travis was looking so sweet, that I had to grab this shot of him. We also celebrated gotcha day for Travis and Dwight last week.

With two editing jobs in process and three upcoming listings, I didn't read as much as I would like but made some progress.

My review of this one appeared on Sunday. You can read it here.

I made progress on this one, but not sure it will be done for Wednesday night's book club.

I read this one and will review it at my kid's book blog soon.

Look for my review of this one on May 17th.

This one is on my Kindle now, so I will start it this week.

I also need to read these three.

These will come on vacation with me in July.

Upcoming virtual book tours:
  • Mastering Your Scenes by J. A. Cox - May 17 (review)
  • I Will Ruin You: The Twisted Truth Behind the Kit Martin Murder Trial by Emilio Corsetti III - May 31 (Review)
  • Royally Arranged by Amber Malloy - June 4 (First Chapter Review)
  • Rock, Crush, and Roll by Hunter Snow - June 12 (First Chapter Review)
  • Is Truth Stranger Than Fiction? You Decide... by JB Miller - July 3 (Review)
  • The Righteous Arrows by Brian J. Morra - July (Review)
At the Christmas Year Round blog we are chatting about tasks to tackle in May to prepare for Christmas. You can find that post here

Mailbox Monday is the gathering place for readers to share the books that came in their mailbox during the last week. Warning: Mailbox Monday can lead to envy, toppling TBR piles and humongous wish lists.

Imagine my surprise when I went to the Mailbox Monday blog to find the end has come. With two of the three bloggers stepping down, it simply was too much to continue for one person. Thanks to all who kept it going for so long. You will be missed.

That's it for me this week. Looking forward to seeing what you're reading.

Thanks, Yvonne! Hope you had a great day.

Barb, hope you grab Melissa's book. Totally different vibe from the first memoir.

We did. Thanks, Snapdragon.

Thanks, Emily!

Deb, we hope I don't kill any plants. :)

Thanks for stopping by, everyone!
