Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Favorite Christmas Book Quotes & Tell Me Something Tuesday: What underrated books or authors would you recommend?

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

Welcome to what is expected to be a snowy Tuesday here in New England. This is our first major storm of the season. A bit early for my tastes, but you have to deal with it up here.

When looking up today's topic for Top Ten Tuesday, I was surprised to find another freebie. So, I am sharing my...

Tell Me Something Tuesday (TMST) is hosted by Jen Twimom at That's What I'm Talking AboutTMST is a weekly discussion post where bloggers discuss a wide range of topics from books and blogging to life in general. Today, let's talk about underrated books and authors.

The first author I would share is Marilyn Meredith, a/k/a F. M. Meredith. For decades, she has been writing and teaching writing. Her Deputy Tempe Crabtree and Rocky Bluff P.D. novels feature a cast of new and ongoing characters set in their respective communities. These books blend work and family life, following members of police enforcement and the families who love them. I felt like these characters became my extended family.

Hazel Statham has passed away, but I had the joy of promoting her Regency romance novels during my years in online book promotion. Her work has been compared to that of Georgette Heyer. My favorite book of Hazel's is The Portrait. Her characters, though living in a different time period, are so relatable.

Many years ago, I connected with Tristi Pinkston. She is an author who writes across multiple genres: historical fiction, romantic suspense, cozy mystery, and more. I've read two of her books, which I loved, and hope to continue with her Secret Sisters Mystery series, which is now up to five books. Her main characters are smart and funny, and her suspense novels keep a fast pace. I can't believe I haven't read more of her books.

That's it for me. I am hoping to work from home today and watch the snow from my window.
